What Is New in Free Fire OB54 — Overview
OB54 focused on three structural changes that affect every game mode, not just specific characters or weapons.
First — Perk Points replaced Cyber Points in Clash Squad, changing how teams build power across a match. Second — Weapon Awakening gave players a new mid-match power escalation mechanic with unlimited ammo potential. Third — Gold Vault replaced both Gold Royale and Diamond Royale, changing how all players access cosmetics.
On top of these, the patch brought the 9th Anniversary Party Lobby, Factory’s transformation, a free Magic Cube for all players, significant character balance changes, three weapon rarity upgrades, and the June Booyah Pass.
OB54 Perk Points — How the New Clash Squad System Works
Cyber Points are gone. Perk Points replaced them entirely in OB54 Clash Squad.
You earn Perk Points by capturing Cyber Airdrops during a match, with bonus points available in specific rounds. The core decision each match is about timing — spend early or save for later.
Spend early and you unlock Skill Boosts for your character — mid-match ability upgrades that apply for the rest of that game. Save longer and you unlock Weapon Awakening in later rounds, which is significantly more powerful but requires patience to reach.
This timing decision creates a genuine strategy layer that Clash Squad previously lacked. Teams that understand the Perk Point economy outperform teams that don’t — regardless of individual aim skill.
Weapon Awakening — OB54’s Biggest New Mechanic
Weapon Awakening is the headline feature of OB54. Use a Weapon Awakener item on most main weapons and it transforms into a stronger version with unlimited ammo for the rest of that match. Grenade launchers are excluded. Melee and secondary weapons are excluded. Everything else qualifies.
How to get a Weapon Awakener in OB54:
- Reach Top 10 in a Battle Royale match
- Pick one up directly from the in-match arsenal
- Spend enough Perk Points in Clash Squad late game
A team with two or three Awakened weapons in the final Clash Squad rounds or late Battle Royale circle has a clear material advantage. Managing when to Awaken — not just whether to — separates experienced OB54 players from everyone else.
Double Ability System
Select active-skill characters now offer two ability options to choose between during a match. Alok and Wukong are confirmed. The Double Ability system means you can adapt your character’s utility mid-match based on how the game is developing — rush or hold, heal or scout — without being locked into one role from the start.
The 9th Anniversary Party Lobby
A new Party Lobby launched alongside OB54. Switch to it using the toggle button on the main screen — players still land in the Classic Lobby on first login.
Inside the Party Lobby: Arena Showdown 1v1 duels against other players, Dance Party zone, Saddle Brawl events, and the ability to visit friends’ lobbies to celebrate together. The lobby itself is themed around the 9th Anniversary with exclusive visual elements only available during the event window.
Factory Becomes the Anniversary Party Venue
Bermuda’s Factory area was temporarily replaced with a 9th Anniversary Party Venue for the duration of the event. New layout, new visual design, and new mechanics.
The venue includes anniversary quests accepted from Vending Machines or dedicated quest points on the map. Completing quests with your squad earns anniversary rewards. An on-the-spot revival mechanic lets you revive a downed teammate directly at their loot box — a tactical change specific to this venue.
Gold Vault Replaces Gold Royale and Diamond Royale
Both Gold Royale and Diamond Royale were retired in OB54. Gold Vault is their replacement.
Old vouchers convert automatically. Gold Royale vouchers become Gold Vault Vouchers. Diamond Royale vouchers convert to 1,000 FF Gold each. Both can be spent in the redesigned Gold Store on premium bundles, animated weapon skins, and emotes.
The change gives free-to-play players more consistent access to items previously locked behind Diamond Royale spending. FF Gold earned in-game through events and missions can now accumulate toward the same store.
Free Magic Cube — How to Claim During 9th Anniversary
Every player can earn one free Magic Cube during the anniversary event period running until July 15.
Complete daily login streaks, Battle Royale survival challenges, and anniversary token collection missions. The missions track cumulative progress — you do not need to complete everything in one session. The Magic Cube redeems for select legendary character bundles in the Magic Shop, including items normally only available through paid purchases.

Characters without a dedicated Skill Boost receive a flat 15% cooldown reduction automatically — every character benefits from the OB54 Perk Points system in some way.

MP40, M590, and M82B all received both stat improvements and Gold rarity status with better drop rates across the map. These three weapons are now meaningfully more competitive in both Clash Squad and Battle Royale ranked.
June 2026 Booyah Pass — Outer Space Theme
The June Booyah Pass launched alongside OB54 with a futuristic Outer Space theme. Premium level rewards include a cosmic motorbike skin, a levitating skyboard, an animated Gloo Wall skin, and an intergalactic character bundle at the highest tier. Free track rewards include materials, diamonds, and event tokens usable toward anniversary missions.
