Free Fire OB55 Release Date – What We Know
| Event | Date | Status |

| OB55 Advance Server Registration | Opened ~August 15, 2026 | ✅ Open |
| OB55 Advance Server Active | August 21 – September 3, 2026 | ✅ Live Now |
| OB55 Global Launch | Expected September 9, 2026 | Anticipated |

Free Fire OB55 New Features – Confirmed Leaks
FO12 — Advance-Server Leak (Never Launched)
The FO12 was a fully automatic shotgun spotted in OB55 advance-server leaks. Unlike the M1887’s burst-fire timing, it promised continuous fire with a higher magazine capacity — but it never made it into the final OB55 release.
Character Balance Changes
Specific character nerfs and buffs for OB55 have not been confirmed yet. Based on OB54’s meta-shifting balance changes, the OB55 update is likely to focus on fine-tuning character balance. Check back here when Garena releases patch notes.
New Age Verification System
OB55 introduces a stricter age-verification process. Players under 18 will need to confirm their age through an OTP sent to a parent or guardian’s phone. Verified minors get 3 hours of daily playtime with a 7,000 diamond spending limit. Players 18 and above get a 6-hour daily session without purchase restrictions.
Excellent Badge — New Behavior-Based Reward
A new reputation system rewards clean play. Completing 40 consecutive matches without cheating, reports, or abusive behavior earns players a 10% Rank Protection bonus in Clash Squad — reducing rank point loss on a loss.
New AWM Hold Pose Animation
A new holding animation for heavy sniper rifles like the AWM has been confirmed — an upright stance replacing the previous pose.
Additional leaks point to a possible new “Orange Diamond” currency alongside existing Blue and Pink Diamonds, and a rapid double-fire sniper rifle that visually resembles a shotgun but fires two powerful rounds in quick succession without reloading.
OB54 vs OB55 – What Is Changing
| Feature | OB54 (Current) | OB55 (Expected) |
|---|---|---|
| New weapon | None (weapon buffs only) | None — FO12 was only a leak |
| Lobby | 9th Anniversary Party Lobby | Enhanced Anniversary Interactive Lobby |
| Economy system | Perk Points (new in OB54) | Refinements expected |
| Meta focus | Clash Squad economy | Close-range combat shift |
| Expected balance | Post-nerf adjustment period | New balance pass |

What OB55 Beta Testers Will See First
Based on what leaked content and the OB54 pattern suggest, OB55 advance server testers will likely get early access to:
FO12 (leak) — mechanics never tested
The FO12 automatic shotgun appeared in advance-server leaks but never launched, so these mechanics were never tested in the live game.
Interactive Lobby features
The bicycle and launcher mechanics, VIP chair positioning, mini missions, and how coins accumulate.
Character balance adjustments
Which characters received changes and how significantly the post-OB54 meta shifts.
New Clash Squad rounds or mechanics
If Perk Points receive any refinements or additions building on OB54’s system.
Players who test these features through the advance server understand the new meta weeks before the competitive ranked season updates a genuine strategic advantage.
The reported Free Fire x Ben 10 collaboration may arrive during the OB55 cycle — see the full leaked item list and confirmed-vs-leak breakdown.

Bug Hunter Program – OB55 Rewards
During the OB55 testing phase, selected players can download the Android APK, use their Activation Code, explore experimental content, and earn Bug Hunter Program rewards before the global release.
The Bug Hunter Program rewards players who find and report valid bugs during advance server testing with free diamonds. Reports must be detailed, specific, and describe a genuine game bug – cosmetic feedback or balance opinions are not rewarded.
Astute Beta Server users can contribute to the community by documenting bugs they encounter and sharing findings in gaming forums and communities – though these reports do not go directly to Garena through the Bug Hunter channel.
Looking Back – OB54 to OB55 Timeline
Understanding the gap between OB54 and OB55 helps set realistic expectations.
OB53 launched April 8, 2026. OB54 launched June 24, 2026 — a 77-day gap. If OB55 launches September 9, 2026, that would be a 77-day gap from OB54 — perfectly consistent with Garena’s recent update cadence.
This pattern suggests Garena is maintaining a roughly 10 to 11 week OB cycle. OB56 would then be expected around late November 2026.
